Berrien County Sheriff's Office

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office is Proud to put another car in service “At no cost to the taxpayers of Berrien County.” A very charitable donation was given to the Sheriff’s Office for the purpose of supplementing our funds to provide for any needs we may have. We will respectfully honor the donator’s wish to remain anonymous but will forever more be thankful for their true act of kindness. With this donation, we were able to purchase a 2018 Dodge Charger Pursuit Package with the V8 Hemi. Along with the vehicle, we were able to get the car equipped and also wrapped in vinyl, saluting the Champs program. Champs stands for Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety and was created by the Georgia Sheriff’s Association in 2003. This program trains Deputies to become instructors to be able to, with the Board of Education’s approval, go into our School System and teach on a variety of very important topics. These lesson plans covers the major issues facing our youth in today’s environment ranging from Bullying and Drug Abuse all the way to Internet Safety and Social Media issues. The program takes approximately 12 weeks at one class a week lasting 45-60 minutes to complete but can be shortened or extended to accommodate the needs of the Board of Education and the Sheriff’s Office. We are excited to partner with our School System and make this a program a success and hopefully starting in the 2018-2019 school year. School Resource Officer Mark Swain is our Champs Instructor and we are excited about the opportunity to reach out to our youth. “ If we can help just one kid, It will have been worth it.” Sheriff Paulk states. We want to give a special thanks to Brian Harrell and his Staff of South Georgia Graphics for an awesome job on our car! ... See MoreSee Less

Berrien County Sheriff's Office

On January 9th also known as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we were thanked for our service by so many in our community and we wanted to let you know it meant a lot to us and Law Enforcement across the Nation. We would like to send out a special “Thank You” to Haley’s and Art’s Afire for bringing us some of the most divine treats on this planet and these beautiful hand painted tiles that they made for us. It’s genuine acts of kindness and appreciation like this that makes our County the best in the state. We are blessed to have you in our community. Thank you again! ... See MoreSee Less
